Syntax

Each line in CONFIG.SYS starting with a ";" is treated as BBB-Command. BBB only
recognizes commands of the form:
	;<command> <parameters>
(except for the ?-command). For comments you must use REMs.

The dialog's function is defined by "Active Elements" that cause variables to
change their values. The layout is controlled by "Passive Elements". After
leaving the dialog the settings are evaluated to enable or disable the
conditional lines and parameters in CONFIG.SYS.


Variables
~~~~~~~~~
A BBB-Variable is an identifier consisting of up to 8 alphanumeric
characters (not case-sensitive). It holds an one-digit value. The variables
can be exported to the master environment to use them in batches like
AUTOEXEC.BAT.


Labels
~~~~~~
A label is a string of up to 31 characters. It may contain a special
character (normally "_") to make the following char a hotkey.


Active Elements
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Syntax:		;OPTION <var>: [!]<label>
Description:	Defines a variable <var> controlled by a CheckBox labeled
		with <label>. <var> is set to 1 (if checked) or 0 (otherwise).
		A "!" causes the variable to be set initially.
Example:	;OPTION CD: Load _CD-ROM Driver

Syntax:		;OPTION <var>: [!]<label 1> | ... | [!]<label n>
Description:	Defines a variable <var> controlled by a RadioButton which
		sets <var> to 1 ... n. Up to 9 labels are supported.
		A "!" marks the default case.
Example:	;OPTION Mem: _EMM386 | !_QEMM | _HIMEM | _nothing

Syntax:		;QUICK <var 1>=<value 1> ... <var n>=<value n> : <label>
Description:	Inserts a Quick Button to change multiple options at once. The	
		variables must have been defined with ";OPTION ..."-statements.
Example:	;QUICK CD=0 Mem=4: _plain DOS


Passive Elements
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Syntax:		;SPACE
Description:	Leave some space to next item.

Syntax:		;TEXT <label>
Description:	Insert a text.

Syntax:		;COLUMN
Description:	Begin new column.


Conditions
~~~~~~~~~~
Syntax:		<var>==<value>
		<var>!=<value>
		<var>
		!<var>
Description:	The expressions are TRUE if <var> is equal to <value> in the 
		first case and not equal in the second and if <var> is non zero
		in the third and zero in the last case.
Example:	Mem!=3


Conditional lines
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Syntax:		;IF <condition>
		<config.sys statements>
		;ENDIF

Syntax:		;IF <condition>
		<config.sys statements>
		;ELSE
		<config.sys statements>
		;ENDIF

Syntax:		;IF <condition 1>
		<config.sys statements>
		;ELSEIF <condition 2>
		<config.sys statements>
		;ENDIF

Description:	<statements> will only be processed by DOS if <condition>
		is TRUE, otherwise they are rejected. Conditional statements
                can be nested.

Short condition: ?-command
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Syntax:		?"<condition>" <statement>
Description:	To define a single conditional line this syntax can be used.
Example:	? "CD==1" DEVICE=CDROM.SYS

Conditional parameters
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Syntax:		<statement> {<condition>:<parameter(s)>} [<other options>]
Description:	<parameter(s)> will only be processed by DOS if <condition>
		is TRUE, otherwise they are omitted.
Example:	DEVICE=c:\dos\emm386.exe 4096 {DPMI==1:DPMI=ON} FRAME=C000


Exporting Variables
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Syntax:		;EXPORT <var 1> ... <var n>
Description:	Does a SET <var>=<value> for each <var> in list when leaving
		the dialog. <var> has to be defined above.
Example:	(in CONFIG.SYS)
			;EXPORT cd
		(in AUTOEXEC.BAT)
			IF %cd%==1 C:\DOS\NWCDEX.EXE ...

Preferences
~~~~~~~~~~~
Syntax:		;KEY <pair 1> ... <pair n>
Description:	Translates keys for non american keybords, the first character
		of each <pair> is treated as the second.
Example:	(german QWERTZ keyboard with umlauts)
		;KEY zy ZY yz YZ '„ "Ž ;” :™ [ {š


Syntax:		;UPPER <pair 1> ... <pair n>
Description:	Defines non english Capitals, the second character of
		each <pair> is the uppercase first character.
Example:	(german umlauts)
		;UPPER „Ž ”™ š

Syntax:		;UNDERLINE <width>
Description:	Underlines the Hotkeys (VGA only), <width> can be 0-9.
Example:	;UNDERLINE 2

Syntax:		;COLOR <window> <text> <option> <lightbar> [<no-underline-hot>]
Description:	User colors: each item is an hex value, the digits define 
		background, foreground and hot color, if present. If no
		underlining is used the <no-underline-hot> marks hotkeys.
		0-Black, 1-Blue, 2-Green, 3-Cyan, 4-Red, 5-Magenta, 6-Brown,
		7-LightGray, 8-DarkGray, 9-LightBlue, A-LightGreen, B-LightCyan,
		C-LightRed, D-LightMagenta, E-Yellow, F-White. 
		(f0c means black on white with lightred hotkey)
Example:	;COLOR 7F 70 30E 3F F

Syntax:		;TIMEOUT <seconds>
Description:	Sets the timeout value to <seconds>. If zero, no countdown is 
		performed (default).
Example:	;TIMEOUT 30
